Pictures!!

This is the surreal walk on one of the paths to the thermal springs ( I think it was the Grand Prismatic) at Yellowstone. We were literally walking in a cloud of steam. We learned that Yellowstone is actually one of the largest, most violent, and active volcanoes in the world! While driving, we'd suddenly see steam coming from what seemed no where...there are lots of these thermal zones at Yellowstone with serious warnings of not walking on or near them(stay on the wooden paths) since you could fall through the thin crust and get fatal burns!

Another thermal spring...
Of course no trip to Yellowstone is complete without a visit to see Old Faithful...we were waiting and waiting for her to erupt and after a few steam bursts and teasers, Odesco declared," It's more like Old Ripoff" ah, gotta love his sense of humor....but then he was awed by the wonder of it all.
Badgers from a distance...

The ever popular badgers who created quite the stir alongside the road!

Our bald eagle sighting...a little blurry because we were zooming in from such a distance~
Curtis caught the eagle ready to take flight~
The eagle's nest...so far in the distance. Luke actually saw it fly and land there...I was crossing the road back to the car :(

A beautiful view of the Tetons~

Philip and Mark Twain-in downtown, Jackson,Wy...hanging out before our hike in the Tetons

The arch of elk antlers in Jackson, Wy...
Magpie...one of these guys dive bombed our water bottles and managed to splatter several kids in the process...yuck...but makes for a memory!!

On our hike at Jenny lake... Momma moose and calf!

Hard to believe this cute moose could charge someone...but we weren't taking any chances!!

Yellow bellied marmot...we saw tons of these in the Tetons!
Going to publish this now from the road...on our way to Colby,Kansas...hope to get more pictures out of our hike later....don't have the computer mouse and can't edit photos without it.
Love,Kathi for the clan!
